The project was to manage managed the integration of a major new production facility into the existing North Sea portfolio.
The focus was to ensure the smooth handover from the project team to the operations team requiring operations input to design considerations, selection of equipment, layouts and accommodation specifications. Studies were conducted by the project team and engineering contractor. The output from these studies was then incorporated into the commissioning, start-up and operating procedures.
Projects developed with operations the data to pre-populate the planned maintenance system, including the safety critical equipment and their performance standards. This approach ultimately ensured minimum surprises and upsets during the handover.
